Superpedestrian Lifecycle Impact Analysis
Partner: Superpedestrian e-mobility
Task: After reviewing and utilizing some of the insights from an independent study completed by Chester Energy and Policy on the relative carbon emissions of the shared electric scooter sector, Superpedestrian got in touch to work with us to develop a customized version of such a model that could be used specifically for their company.
After reviewing competitor lifecycle analyses that were publicly available, Chester Energy and Policy worked closely with Superpedestrian to build out a highly robust model that takes their existing use case data to build out a complete analysis of the energy use and associated carbon emissions (and other pollutants) from company operations. Seeking to go for complete accuracy and thoroughness where competitors may have been shortchanging true analysis of their impact, Chester Energy and Policy developed a complete model that tracked impacts from manufacture, shipping, use, replacement parts, distribution transportation, and end-of-life consideration using complete sets of data (whether real or theoretical for future forecasting).
Based on this modeling exercise, Chester Energy and Policy assisted Superpedestrian in outlining expected outcomes in new cities of deployment for permitting and application purposes, as well as identifying internal areas of opportunity for sustainability improvements.

Keying in on Best Caribbean Markets for New Solar Investment
Partner: Private Real Estate Developer and Solar Investor
Task: Chester Energy and Policy was tasked by an anonymous major real estate investor to evaluate the state of the Caribbean region when it comes to current and future development of solar investment, particularly as it relates to potential residential and commercial installations of solar power.
While this company had previously been focused on Florida and other domestic markets for investing in solar on potential real estate projects, they sought to expand into the Caribbean markets where it made sense to do so, but they wanted to bring a targeted approach in the diverse region.
