Applications Open for NAESCO Accreditation, Spring 2024
NAESCO is currently accepting applications from member companies interested in earning accreditation as an Energy Service Company (ESCO), Energy Service Provider (ESP), and Energy Efficiency Contractor (EEC).
The National Association of Energy Service Companies (NAESCO), the premier advocacy and accreditation organization for energy service companies (ESCOs), announces the opening of the Spring application round for its reputable accreditation program.
As part of its commitment to promoting excellence in the energy service company industry, NAESCO is currently accepting applications for accreditation through its twice-annual application process, providing industry players with an opportunity to earn recognition for their commitment to high-quality delivery, technical expertise, and standards.
What is NAESCO-Accreditation?
NAESCO's accreditation program is voluntary for members. It serves as a comprehensive tool that evaluates the work, standards, and reputation of companies dedicated to modernizing the built environment through energy efficiency and other energy-related optimization. The NAESCO-Accreditation program includes organizations that have demonstrated top-tier professionalism, technical implementation, ethical standards, and more.
What are the Requirements?
The accreditation program opens twice a year, once in the Spring and again in the Fall, with NAESCO membership being a prerequisite to applying. Accreditation categories include Energy Service Company (ESCO), Energy Service Provider (ESP), and Energy Efficiency Contractor (EEC). The initial accreditation is valid for two years, with the option for renewal. Upon renewal, the accreditation extends to three years.
Each accreditation category involves a comprehensive evaluation of technical competencies and managerial skills, examining various aspects such as performance-based project approach, project engineering and design, financing, project management, operations, maintenance capabilities, and the ability to monitor and verify building energy cost savings.
